What is Rabies?
Rabies is a viral disease that spreads through the bite or scratch of an infected animal. The virus travels through the nervous system, causing severe inflammation. Once symptoms appear, rabies is almost always fatal.
- Furious Rabies: Furious Rabies, also called Encephalitic Rabies is a more common form affecting about 80% of cases. It is characterised by increased salivation, aggressive behavior, and hyperactive symptoms.

Rabies vaccination dosage schedule
This is administered following a suspected exposure to rabies. The standard dosage for post-exposure prophylaxis is four doses on days 0, 3, 7, and 14, with 0 being the day for the first dose.
